Legarda partially drops election protest versus De Castro

Legarda partially drops election protest vs De Castro

MANILA, Philippines -- Former senator Loren Legarda has withdrawn “most” of her protest against the election victory of Vice President Noli de Castro in 2004 from the Supreme Court sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

***The verb "drops" is for reason's sake.  She's running for senator and she's protesting for an election result that has been long accepted.

The adverb "partially" is for her politicking.  She wants the people not to completely drop the memory that she was (allegedly) "cheated" in the vice presidential election.  Filipinos love underdogs.  Heck, Filipinos love losers.  Sometimes they do.  Look at the representatives they are voting.
