MANILA, Philippines – The town of San Juan has long been known as Estrada country, with many residents who remain fiercely loyal to their favorite son, former President “Erap” Estrada, and his family.
***There are many reasons for this. First, there are many stupid people in San Juan. My brother won't approve of this because he lives there. But that's true. Second, there is no one courageous enough to stand up and rock the boat in San Juan. If you have an asshole mayor like the bastard JV, then it should have started already. But, no one is courageous enough. Or, stupid enough to be stupidest among the bunch.
Ok. I lived in San Juan. We were all anti-Erap then. My grandmother - God rest her soul - is an Erap fanatic. We didn't agree about San Juan politics. But up until now, this is something we are sure and in agreement about - Erap made San Juan what it is now. It is to his credit. And, no one among his many sons - Jinggoy including - equalled his greatness and his charisma. In San Juan or not.
That is why I hate Erap.
He loves us so much - our family - so much that he went after us in Sta. Rosa. He lives very near us now. Say what? He is jailed? What? For what? Rofl.
