MANILA, Philippines -- Only 71,668 of the 504,110 registered Filipino overseas voters had cast their ballots by the time the polls officially ended at 3 p.m. on Monday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said.
***If they are shunning the elections, we have a problem. One of the major forces of our economy is abstaining on the power to change the Filipino system. Aye, they are giving up their right, over those people who are easily swayed because of extreme poverty.
