No plate, no travel policy versus poll violence

'No plate, no travel' policy vs poll violence

In a bid to prevent poll-related violence leading to the May 14 elections, police in Western Visayas have started implementing an "intensified" no-plate, no-travel policy in the region.

***I don't know why we should "intensify" the implementation of a law that has long been promulgated. The law has to be implemented. No more, no less. It's either a yes or a no. Nothing in between.

Tacitus was right. Corruptissima republica plurimae leges. "When the republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous". Not only are they most numerous, they are also most taken for granted.
